George Spanoudakis (BSc, MSc and PhD) is full Professor in the School of Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering at City University London and Director of the Research Centre on Adaptive Computing Systems (CeNACS). He is also a member of the Council of the University of Piraeus in Greece (2013-). Prior to his current posts, he had been Head of the Department of Computing at City University (2004-07) and Associate Dean for Research of the School of Informatics (2010-14). He has held visiting positions at the Universities of Crete, Essen, Malaga, and the London School of Economics and ICS-FORTH. His research interests are in the field of software systems engineering with a current focus on service and cloud computing and software systems security. Within the wider field of his research, he has published more than 140 peer-reviewed scientific papers and books and has attracted research funding in excess of €6m, including R&D projects funded by the EU, national research councils, ENISA and directly by the industry. Prof. Spanoudakis has served in the program committees of more than 170 international conferences and workshops, and has chaired/co-chaired several of them (e.g., SEKE ’06, SEKE ’07, CISIS ’11, NTMS ’14, ACG ‘14). He is also a member of the editorial boards of 10 international journals. Robert S. Laramee received a bachelors degree in physics, cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst (ZooMass). He received a masters degree in computer science from the University of New Hampshire, Durham. He was awarded a PhD from the Vienna University of Technology (Gruess Gott TUWien), Austria at the Institute of Computer Graphics and Algorithms in 2005. From 2001 to 2006 he was a researcher at the VRVis Research Centerand a software engineer at AVL in the department of Advanced Simulation Technologies.Currently he is an Associate Professor at the Swansea University (Prifysgol Cymru Abertawe), Wales in the Department of Computer Science (Adran Gwyddor Cyfrifiadur). His research interests are in the areas of scientific visualization, information visualization, and visual analytics. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers in scientific journals and conferences.

Jingsong Wang is a Principle Software Developer at Oracle. He has rich design and development experience in building software systems, especially intelligent systems based on data and machine learning technologies. He has research interests in various areas, including logical and probabilistic reasoning, machine learning, and ontology. Jeff Lei is a full professor in Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Texas, Arlington. He received his Bachelor's degree from Wuhan University (Special Class for Gifted Young), his Master's degree from Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and his Ph.D. degree from North Carolina State University. He was a Member of Technical Staff in Fujitsu Network Communications, Inc. for about three years. His research is in the area of automated software analysis, testing and verification, with a special interest in software security assurance at the implementation level.

I am interested in developing methods, techniques, and tools to increase the productivity of software practitioners so that they can develop better software faster. In particular, I am interested in automated software analysis, testing, and verification techniques, currently with a special focus on software security assurance.

Dr. Mary Mehrnoosh Eshaghian-Wilner has over 26 years of research experience in various areas within the field of Computer Engineering. Additionally, she has worked in the area of patent law for several years. She has published numerous scientific papers, including two books, and has handled the prosecution and infringement analysis of many complex U.S. and international patents. Dr. Eshaghian-Wilner currently is a Professor of Engineering Practice at the Electrical Engineering-Systems Department at the University of Southern California (USC), and since 2004 has been an Adjunct Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Prior to joining UCLA, she was a tenured full Professor and Department Head at the Computer Engineering Department of Rochester Institute of Technology

Dr. Jingshan Huang is an Associate Professor (with tenure) of Computer Science in the School of Computing (SoC) at the University of South Alabama (USA). Dr. Huang received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of South Carolina in 2007. Prior to his current position, Dr. Huang was an Assistant Professor at Benedict College and a Research Specialist at the Medical University of South Carolina, respectively.Dr. Huang has published over 50 refereed papers including those in mainstream journals such as PLOS ONE, Pharmaceutical Research, and BMC Genomics, as well as leading bioinformatics conferences such as BIBM and BCB. Dr. Huang established and has been supervising the South Biomedical Informatics (SBI) Research Group housed in the USA SoC. He has also participated in a wide variety of professional service, including: NSF panelists, Journal Editorial/Review Board members, Conference Steering Committee members, Conference and Workshop Co-Chairs, Book Editorial Advisory Board members, and invited journal/book editors, as well as serving as Program Committee members for many top international conferences. Liz Bacon is Immediate Past President of the BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, and a Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor at the University of Greenwich in London, with a University-wide remit leading the development of technology enhanced learning. She is a past Chair of the BCS Academy of Computing, and the CPHC (Council of Professors and Heads of Computing) national committee. Liz is a Professor of Software Engineering with over a hundred publications and a Co-Director of the eCentre research group. She is an experienced journal and conference reviewer, editorial board member, and PhD supervisor, and has been involved in several EU research projects, including being Principal Investigator and Project Coordinator for two EU FP7 projects in the past four years. She is an experienced systems designer and developer and has applied her research in technology enhanced learning, software engineering, artificial intelligence and cyberterrorism to a range of application areas such as crisis management and health. Within technology enhanced learning her research has focussed on the following areas: smart games-based learning environments; metacognition and learning strategies; and adaptable, adaptive and personalised systems.

Dr. Xianghua Xie is an Associate Professor in the Visual Computing Group at the Department of Computer Science, Swansea University. He held an RCUK Academic Fellowship between September 2009 and March 2012, and he was a Senior Lecturer between October 2012 and March 2013. Prior to his position at Swansea, he was a Research Associate in the Computer Vision Group, Department of Computer Science, University of Bristol, where he obtained his PhD in Computer Science and MSc in Advanced Computing (with commendation) in 2006 and 2002, respectively. He has strong research interests in video analysis, stereo systems, active contour models, level set methods, texture analysis, and medical image understanding. He leads a team of researchers at Swansea University in these areas, and has published over 100 papers in computer vision and pattern recognition. Alexandra I. Cristea is an associate professor (Reader) and head of the Intelligent and Adaptive Systems Research Group at the University of Warwick. She is also the deputy chair of the Graduate Studies Committee of the Faculty of Science and director of postgraduate research in computer science. Her research interests include user modeling, personalization, the Semantic Web, and the social Web. Cristea has a PhD in computer science from the University of Electro-Communications, Tokyo. She is a British Computer Society (BCS) fellow, a Higher Education Academy (HEA) associate fellow, and a member of IEEE and the IEEE Computer Society.

Marcelo Milrad is a Full Professor of Media Technology at the Faculty of Technology at Linnaeus University (LNU) in Sweden. He is also the director of the Center for Learning and Knowledge Technologies (CeLeKT). His current research interests include the design of learning environments to support learning about complex domains, collaborative discovery learning and the development of mobile and wireless applications to support collaborative learning. Professor Milrad teaches undergraduate courses in media technology and computer science with a special focus on XML, web 2.0 and mobile technologies. He teaches also at the international master program on Social Media and Web technologies at LNU. In addition, Professor Milrad is actively involved in doctoral courses in the field of Technology Enhanced Learning.

Dr. Seung Hyun Baek is an professor of Division of Business Administration in College of Economics & Business Administration at Hanyang University ERICA campus. He received a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Myongji University and an M.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in Industrial and Information Engineering from University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Dr. Galina Momcheva is an Associate Professor in Computer Science at Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar”, Bulgaria. She was the Head of Department of Computer Science (2013-2015) and now she is the Head of Department of Computer Science and Economics (since 2015) after some structural reforms. After strong background (more than 15 years) in Programming and Data Structures and Algorithms including preparation of competitors in informatics in Bulgaria, she is still a supervisor of research projects of young scientists (Bioinformatics, Computer Vision). Now she has strong research interests in data mining, semantic data, visualizations and UI/UX. She develops at VFU and leads master degree programs in ‘Data Science’ (2016), ‘Software Engineering and Management’ (2016) and ‘Computer Games and Animation’ (2014). Dr. Momcheva is a member of ACM (since 2006), the member of the Union of Bulgarian Mathematicians and its executive board in Varna region (1995-2016) and also she is the Charman of ICT Cluster-Varna (since 2016). She is an Oracle Academy lecturer and an initiator of a lot of activities for computer science for fun and visual programming for students’ classes in the country.
