George Spanoudakis (BSc, MSc and PhD) is full Professor in the School of Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering at City University London and Director of the Research Centre on Adaptive Computing Systems (CeNACS). He is also a member of the Council of the University of Piraeus in Greece (2013-). Prior to his current posts, he had been Head of the Department of Computing at City University (2004-07) and Associate Dean for Research of the School of Informatics (2010-14). He has held visiting positions at the Universities of Crete, Essen, Malaga, and the London School of Economics and ICS-FORTH. His research interests are in the field of software systems engineering with a current focus on service and cloud computing and software systems security. Within the wider field of his research, he has published more than 140 peer-reviewed scientific papers and books and has attracted research funding in excess of €6m, including R&D projects funded by the EU, national research councils, ENISA and directly by the industry. Prof. Spanoudakis has served in the program committees of more than 170 international conferences and workshops, and has chaired/co-chaired several of them (e.g., SEKE ’06, SEKE ’07, CISIS ’11, NTMS ’14, ACG ‘14). He is also a member of the editorial boards of 10 international journals. Beyond research, he is providing advisory services to private companies, universities, public funding and standardization organisations in the UK and overseas. S)
