Dr. Vasenkov has received his Ph. D. degree in Physics and Mathematics from the Russian Academy of Science in 1996. Between 1996 and 1999, he was researcher and then senior researcher in the Institute of Thermophysics at the Russian Academy of Science. He was trained as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Chemistry at the University of British Columbia in 1999-2001 and in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2001-2003. From 2003 till 2013 he directed engineering modeling, and related R&D efforts at CFD Research Corporation. Dr. Vasenkov was awarded and successfully managed peer-reviewed grants and contracts from major federal agencies (DOE, NSF, and DoD) and private companies such as Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology. He was co-PI of consulting service projects for many industrial companies including MKS, Inficon, GE, CoorsTek, and Caterpillar. Most recently, he co-founded a small-business company Multi Scale Solutions focusing on the development and commercialization of scientific business intelligence software for applications in Life Science, Nanotechnology, and Materials. He established network within academia, industry, and national laboratories. Dr. Vasenkov is executive editor of Journal of Nanomedicine & Nanotechnology. He authored/co-authored over 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals, 1 book chapter, and over 50 presentations at leading scientific conferences.

Dr. Arun Kulkarni, Professor of Computer Science, has been with The University of Texas at Tyler since 1986. He has more than seventy refereed papers to his credit, and he has authored two books. His awards include the Office of Naval Research (ONR) 2008 Senior Summer Faculty Fellowship award, 2005-2006 President’s Scholarly Achievement Award, 2001-2002 Chancellor's Council Outstanding Teaching award, 1997 Piper Award Nominee and the 1984 Fulbright Fellowship award. He has been listed in who's who in America. He has successfully completed eight research grants. Dr. Kulkarni obtained his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and was a post-doctoral fellow at Virginia Tech.

Prof. Sousa has more than 40 years of engineering experience. He has an extensive international experience on a large range of projects. He is Full Professor at the University of Porto in Portugal and is multilingual. He has authored or co-authored over 20 books and hundreds of journal articles, presentations and reports. He was President of SKEC Engineering Consulting and is consultant for Laboratory of Deep Underground Engineering, Beijing and consulting engineer in Switzerland, China, Oman, and Portugal. He is now professor at China University of Mining and Technology, Beijing, and Sichuan University, Chengdu, China.

Dr. Susan Mengel is an associate professor and the MSSE program coordinator at Texas Tech University. She received her Ph.D. from Texas A&M University in 1990. She has played strategic leadership roles in numerous multidisciplinary projects involving the delivery of innovative software and data models in sleep management, student retention and advising, computer education, nutrition, speech therapy, and cybersecurity. She has served on grants from NSF, the Texas Coordinating Board, and the Department of Agriculture. She has published more than 40 refereed papers in prestigious venues, such as the IEEE and ACM conferences and Elsevier journals. She helped to establish the Master's in Software Engineering degree program at Texas Tech University, served as Vice-President for the Texas Tech Faculty Senate, chaired the IEEE Software Engineering Education and Training Conference, served on the Steering Committee of the ACM/IEEE Computing Curriculum, and served on the IEEE Computer Society Board of Governors. She currently serves on the Texas Tech Institutional Review Board for the Protection of Human Subjects and is the Associate Editor for Computing for the IEEE Transactions on Education.

Kishan Mehrotra has received his early graduate education, leading up to master degree in statistics from Lucknow University, India. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Statistics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He joined Syracuse University in 1970 and presently he is Chair & Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. During the course of past forty years he has spent some years away as a visiting professor at Brooks Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, Indian Statistical Institute, New Delhi, University of Wisconsin, Madison; and CMU, Pittsburgh. From 1998 to June 2009 he served as the Director of the Computer and Information Science and earlier from 1989 to 1991 he served as the Director of Applied Statistics Program at Syracuse University. Kishan Mehrotra has written more than 190 papers and journal articles in several areas including non-parametric methods, theory of statistics, reliability theory, data mining, artificial intelligence, classification methods, wireless networks and sensor fusion, bioinformatics, etc. He has co-authored a book on neural networks. Recently, he has taken an interest in developing algorithms to achieve community structures in a Social Network. His current research interests include Data Mining, Bioinformatics, and Social Networks.

Dr. Akbar Namin is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Texas Tech University. His research focuses on empirical software engineering, automated software engineering, assessment of software test techniques using statistical analysis, and modeling software engineering data using machine learning algorithms. He also works on privacy issues in data and information leakage. Dr. Namin has authored over 50 technical articles published in premier Software Engineering venues including ACM/IEEE International Conference in Software engineering, ACM International Symposium in Software Test and Analysis, Journal of IEEE Transactions in Software Engineering .He has served on program committees of numerous conferences in empirical Software Engineering, Cybersecurit Dr. Namin’s research is sponsored by National Science Foundation (NSF). Dr. Namin received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Western Ontario, Canada. He also worked as a guest researcher at the National Research Council in Canada (NRC) for two years.

Dr.Panos M. Pardalos serves as Distinguished Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Florida. Additionally, he is the Paul and Heidi Brown Preeminent Professor in Industrial & Systems Engineering. He is also an affiliated faculty member of the Computer and Information Science Department, the Hellenic Studies Center, and the Biomedical Engineering Department. He is also the Director of the Center for Applied Optimization. Dr. Pardalos is a world leading expert in global and combinatorial optimization. His recent research interests include network design problems, optimization in telecommunications, e-commerce, data mining, biomedical applications, and massive computing. He is a fellow of AAAS and INFORMS and his recent awards include the Constantin Carathéodory Prize, (July 2013) and the 2013 EURO Gold Medal .

Dr. Jingshan Huang is an Associate Professor of Computer Science in the School of Computing (SoC) at the University of South Alabama (USA). Dr. Huang received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of South Carolina in 2007. Prior to his current position, Dr. Huang was an Assistant Professor at Benedict College and a Research Specialist at the Medical University of South Carolina, respectively.. He has published more than 40 refereed papers including those in mainstream journals such as PLOS ONE, Pharmaceutical Research, and BMC Genomics, as well as leading bioinformatics conferences such as BIBM and BCB. Dr. Huang established and has been supervising the South Biomedical Informatics (SBI) Research Group housed in the USA SoC. He has also participated in a wide variety of professional service, including: NSF panelists, Journal Editorial/Review Board members, Conference Steering Committee members, Conference and Workshop Co-Chairs, Book Editorial Advisory Board members, and invited journal/book editors, as well as serving as Program Committee members for many top international conferences. Dr. Huang's research has been supported by NIH, NSF, and DOE.

Dr. Liang joined ASU in 2008 after six years with Siemens where he was engaged in research and development activities in the domain of computer aided diagnosis in medical imaging. He holds a Ph.D. degree (2001) in computer science and carried out his thesis work at the Turku Centre for Computer Science in Finland and in the Visual Modeling Group at the University of Toronto in Canada. His research on dynamic chest image analysis received a University Faculty Research Award from the University of Turku. From 2001-02, he was a Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) of Canada Industrial Research Fellow. He holds 5 US patents and more than 15 patents pending.
