Biography
Dr. Akbar Namin is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Texas Tech University. His research focuses on empirical software engineering, automated software engineering, assessment of software test techniques using statistical analysis, and modeling software engineering data using machine learning algorithms. He also works on privacy issues in data and information leakage. Dr. Namin has authored over 50 technical articles published in premier Software Engineering venues including ACM/IEEE International Conference in Software engineering, ACM International Symposium in Software Test and Analysis, Journal of IEEE Transactions in Software Engineering .He has served on program committees of numerous conferences in empirical Software Engineering, Cybersecurit Dr. Namin’s research is sponsored by National Science Foundation (NSF). Dr. Namin received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Western Ontario, Canada. He also worked as a guest researcher at the National Research Council in Canada (NRC) for two years.
